One of the really important Facebook advertising targeting technique you must learn is the exclusion technique.
It is not who you plan to target that matters, it is about who you should exclude at any point of the funnel.
First you must exclude those who purchased, which is a no-brainer.
You can also use exclusion technique to build your ad drip, it will look something like this:
- Retargeting ad 1 – targeting people who visited landing page in the past 7 days, excluding purchased
- Retargeting ad 2 – targeting people who visited landing page in the past 14 days, exclude landing page visits in the past 7 days and purchased
