Embracing the dip

According to Seth Godin, the dip is the long slog between starting and mastery. In my opinion, it is the process of “getting there”, but not there yet.

You’re not sure if it is really the dip, or the cliff.

It can be frustrating. You know you’ve been working your ass off, pushing your limit to get this thing done, and yet the result is kicking in not as soon as you’d expect. Let alone if the result will eventually be the one you wish for.

You could have been preparing for this for years now, but when the opportunity knocks, you just hate the waiting time.

It is the uncertainty. It is the anxiety, not sure if this will happen as we expect, not sure if the client will pick you. Not sure if this is going to be the big break, or is it going to be yet another encounter.

Entrepreneurs would understand what I mean here, and you know best how to embrace the dip, or even the cliff. I know it is hard, but hang in there. It will happen.
