05 Jan Staying focused isn’t easy
People who know me during my early days would tell you that I have super short attention span. I get excited over an idea very fast, my team and I build fast (the MVP of Printit was completed within 10 days), and I walk away from one idea too soon.
My problem was not being focused.
In 2014 alone I launched more than 5 startups, failed most of them (of course). But not all of them deserved the destiny. I must admit that some of the ideas that we built are good and at that time were a bit ahead of their time – some of them still work today and growing steadily, I’ll talk more about them more in the future.
It was in 2015 I realized about my real problem and I made a declaration that I will not be building any new stuffs for 2 years. We went back to our core as a digital agency and eventually we found our direction to dive deep into Facebook advertising.
If you’re a person like me, a person who finds it hard to stay focused, I have 3 suggestions for you.
- Procrastinate – tell yourself that you can, but wait
- Set a duration
- Tell the whole world about it
I know it’s damn hard to stay focused, but it’s worth it.
